CINNAMON STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg

Mix together thoroughly. 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt

Stir in milk and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and stir in.

STREUSEL MIXTURE:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Spread half the batter in a greased, floured 9 inch ring or pan. Sprinkle with half the streusel mixture. Add remaining batter and top with rest of streusel. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 35 minutes.
