CONGO BARS | |
2/3 c. butter, melted 1 lb. brown sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 2/3 c. plain flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 sm. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts Melt butter and add to sugar in large mixing bowl and mix. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and pecans. Bake in large buttered cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes (until knife comes out clean). Let cool for 5 minutes and cut into bars. Butterscotch chips can be substituted. |
