OLD PLANTATION SOUP 
4 slices bacon, diced (1/2 c.)
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. diced celery
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans (or 4 c.) chicken broth
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 c. potatoes, diced 1/2" cubes
1 c. green beans, fresh or frozen
1/2 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz.) can kernel corn
1 (15 oz.) can lima beans
1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
1 green pepper, seeded & diced
1 red pepper, seeded & diced
1 c. diced ham
1/4 c. chopped parsley
Salt to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste

In a large soup kettle, add bacon and cook until crisp. Add onions and celery and saute until vegetables are soft. Add chicken stock, chicken cube, diced potato, frozen beans, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Add kernel corn, lima beans, pinto beans, green and red pepper, diced ham, Accent and parsley. Return to heat and heat thoroughly 15 minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Yield: 12.
