2 or 3 bunches leaf lettuce, head lettuce can be used also
1 lb. bacon, diced
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar

Wash lettuce, drain and place in a bowl. Fry bacon in frying pan until crisp. Add vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil and quickly pour over lettuce, toss and serve immediately.
