BAKED MACARONI & CHEESE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. flour 2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 8 oz. cheddar cheese (2 c.) 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook macaroni; drain. 2. Melt butter in saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, stir until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer mixture 1 minute. Remove from heat. 3. Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese and macaroni. Pour in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. 4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is golden brown. |
