BASIC BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled 3/4 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. pecans, chopped ICING: 1/2 box powdered sugar 1/2 stick butter, softened 3/4 tsp. vanilla 4 heaping tbsp. cocoa Milk Dash salt In medium saucepan, melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts; mix well. Spread in greased 8'x8"x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and frost. ICING: Soften butter in bowl. Sift sugar and chocolate in bowl with butter. Add vanilla and milk to correct consistency. Add salt. Add more chocolate and sugar to taste. |
