Made this for a group camping trip and broke up the chicken to make it go further, doubled the recipe and I made 10 happy campers. It was awesome. Will make it regularly.

We made our own Italian dressing using balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We also added onions and frozen green beans to the crock pot. We added the onions with the chicken and added the frozen green beans a couple hours before the end of the cooking time. We used 3 year old bone in chicken breast we found in the back of the freezer. 2.3lbs worth. At the end of the cooking time we took the chicken out cut it up and put it back in the crock pot with 2 (4 oz. each) cans of mushrooms. Everyone asked for seconds. I'm feeding a picky 9yo and a teenage daughter. This recipe was a big hit and it even salvaged some really old freezer-burnt chicken. A truly huge success. We will be making this meal again.

I was trying to decide what to put on my chicken in the crockpot. I had bbq sauce and cream of chicken, then found italian dressing. I typed chicken in crockpot with italiann dressing to see if anyone has ever tried it and this was the first recipe that popped up for me. Luckily I even had egg noodles and an 8oz container of sour cream. It was like I was meant to try this recipe and I'm glad I did! It was DELICIOUS, the sauce was great! thank you for sharing this recipe I will def be making this again!

This recipes turned out really good. The sauce is a must! If you don't have that, the chicken might seem a little dry. Such a good flavor. Everyone, 4 kids and my husband ate it without any problem.

This recipe is amazing! Unfortunately we were out later than planned and the sauce dried up and burnt, I was able to save the chicken and made the sauce on the stove top which still turned out great! I added diced tomatoes and olives.
