APPLE CRISP 
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. quick cook oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter
6 c. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Stir until crumbly. Press half of the oat mixture into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cover with apples. In a medium saucepan combine white sugar, cornstarch, water and vanilla. Pour over apples. Cover apples with the remaining crumble mixture.

Bake in 350°F oven for 45 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
