APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced Granny Smith apples (4 to 6 medium)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. sifted plain flour
1 c. quick-cook oats
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
honey (optional)

Place apples in greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine dry ingredients, milk and melted butter, mixing until crumbly. Top with pecans and drizzle with honey.

Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender.

Serves 6.
