QUICK APPLE CRISP 
3/4 c. quick oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
4 c. sliced, peeled apples

Combine oats, sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter, put apples in greased 8 inch square pan. Sprinkle oat mixture over top. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot or cold. It's good with ice cream or whipped topping, if you like.

VARIATION:

Substitute cherries for apples. Combine 1 pound cherries, canned, with 1/2 cup sugar. Add 4 teaspoons quick tapioca and a few drops of red food coloring. Cook until thick, cool in pan before adding topping and bake same as apple crisp.
