FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE 
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 loaf 1-inch thick bread (French bread)
8 eggs
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together and press into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 pan. Arrange bread slices tightly on top of the mixture layer. Mix eggs, milk and salt well and pour over the bread layer. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, uncovered. Serve warm with maple syrup.
