BEEF JERKY | |
1 1/2-2 lb. boneless meat (chuck roast is a good meat to use) 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. hickory smoked flavored liquid Slice 1/2 inch thick strips. Mix ingredients in bowl. Add meat. Let stand 1 hour or overnight. Shake off excess liquid and arrange on racks. Dry at 115-200 degrees until brown and hard. Let cool. Place in airtight bags in refrigerator. Dried Fruit: Dip sliced fruit in salt water. Let stand for 5 minutes. Place in oven until dried out. Oven temperature 150 degrees. |
