EVERLASTING SLAW | |
1 med. size head cabbage 1 onion 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. tumeric 1 bell pepper 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. celery seed Shred cabbage, then chop some. Chop green pepper and onion, mix with cabbage. Boil together vinegar, sugar, salt and spices only until they are well blended. Pour over slaw and let stand several hours before using. Store in refrigerator. |
