2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Mix applesauce and soda together. Add sugar, shortening and eggs. Last, add flour, salt and spices. Then nuts and chocolate chips. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 9-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
