CHOCO-CHIP BROWNIES 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. pkg. chocolate chips
1/4 c. pecan pieces

Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar, then egg, being sure that pan is slightly cooled so egg won't cook. Mix well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to saucepan along with vanilla. Mix well again. Lastly, stir in chips and nuts. Pour into a brownie pan, and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. This is an easy recipe and can be doubled. Bake longer if doubled, until edge leaves pan.
