EASY TO MAKE "NO YEAST" PIZZA
CRUST

3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 1/2 cups hot water
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Mix all ingredients together until you form a good dough. Dust your hands in flour and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Take a rolling pin to it and make it as thin or as thick as you like. Hint: it makes a great thin crust. Precook it for approximately 10-15 minutes before applying toppings.

Yield: if made into thin crust it makes one 16 inch, one 12 inch, and a decent helping of breadsticks.

I made it as a foccacia, not pizza. I cranked oven to 400°F. I added olive oil and herbs, but forgot salt. Baked 15 min. Next time 18 min. I am saving this recipe and have a lot of plans for it such as black olive foccacia. It's not just for pizza.

Thank you - thank you - for posting this recipe. I also love the reviews - they really help, especially Julie from Washington. I am alone - and will cut the recipe in half as she did. Also like the idea of brushing with oil & adding garlic powder - flipping to ensure crust equal firmness. Also one's advice on creating your own self-rising flour from this website. This website is awesome. Has anything/everything you will ever need to create your favorite foods... Please - post any other great recipes you might have laying around.

Roll some dough between your hands? I make mine about 6-inches long. Yum!

This was delicious. It was different then a typical pizza crust. That is the only reason I rated it 4 stars. I thought it was delicious but if you are looking for a pizza crust you find on store bought or delivery pizzas this is different! It is like a biscuit. It had a thin crispy layer on the outside and soft fluffy layers inside more like a flaky biscuit but thicker consistency. I used 1 cup self rising flour, 1/3 cup hot water and 1/6 cup olive oil. I mixed that up and rolled it onto a cookie sheet and put pepperjack cheese sticks (halved) around the edge and rolled the edge of the crust over it to create stuffed crust. I brushed the entire crust with olive oil and baked at 375° for 15 minutes. While that was cooking I put a little olive oil and minced garlic in a sauce pan and cooked it on simmer for 5 minutes then added a can of tomato sauce, cayenne pepper, basil and oregano. I cooked that on low until the crust was done. I put this sauce, not all of it, just enough to cover the entire pizza. Added bacon, sausage and cheese onto the pizza and baked for an additional 15 minutes. I cut it with a pizza cutter and dipped the pieces in the remaining sauce. This was enough to make a personal pan sized pizza. Could be bigger or smaller depending on how thick you make the crust. Mine was close to hand tossed thickness.

This recipe is fantastic and very easy to make. I suggest adding seasonings to the dough for better taste. I use this recipe for stuffed bread quite frequently.

I made this pizza today when I had unexpected guests, it was so quick and easy to make and turned out absolutely wonderful. It will be great fun to make with my grandchildren when they next visit, they can make their own with their favourite toppings. Today I made ham and pineapple and one with onions sweet peppers and pepperoni, they all loved them they could not believe I had made them from scratch.

I made half of this and added a 1/4 c. sugar to the dough. YUM! Gives a crispy, sweet crust. Also, a bit of oil and cornmeal helps crisp up the crust too.

Topping: Fry 1/4 lb. super lean ground beef with onions and peppers in a bit of oil. Add basil, anise, crushed red pepper, and garlic salt. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sauce: Combine in skillet (do NOT wipe out) 2 (6 oz. each) cans tomato paste, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, and 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese. Stir to heat through.

Top crust with sauce, meat-veggie combination, cheddar cheese, and American cheese. Dot on some pepperoni.
Bake in 425°F oven on center rack for 20-25 minutes.

Recipe is great except there was no cooking time or oven temperature to to cook it on. I figured it was 15-20 minutes at 350°F. Still cooking so will drop back later to let you know if it didn't work.

I had self rising flour ever since I made beer bread. It was just sitting in the freezer. I found your recipe pizza guy and made good use of some of it. I still have enough left to make another pizza or two. Used pasta sauce for pizza sauce. Used maitake mushroom I found in my front yard at the base of my huge oak tree. Pepperoni, green pepper, onion.. Oh, and ton of mozzarella cheese... Man what a great pizza... With a little beer.. That's what I am talking about!!!
