LEMON GLAZE FOR POUND CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. white corn syrup (Karo)
Juice and grated rind of 1/2 lemon

Mix sugar, water and corn syrup. Bring to boil - boil rapidly, uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon and juice.

Make glaze in time to cool a bit before adding to cake.
