APPLE CRISP 
1 1/2 lbs. apples, peeled, sliced (5 cups)
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. corn oil butter

Place apples in 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish. In small bowl stir together 2 tablespoons sugar, ginger, nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples; toss together oats, brown sugar and cornstarch. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle over apples. Bake in 375 degree oven for 35 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. 6 servings.
