1 1/2 lbs. coarse ground round steak 4 fat pork chops 2 cloves garlic, chopped and/or 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 jar pimiento 1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed 1 can ripe olives, pitted, drain and save liquid 1 jar green stuffed olives 1 pkg. (12 to 16 oz.) broad boiled noodles Fry steak with garlic and/or onion. In another pan, fry pork chops and cut in cubes. Chop pimiento, cube cheese. Save some cheese to lay across top of dish. Make cream sauce from fat of pork chops and add 3 tbsp. flour, 1 cup milk, and liquid from ripe olives. Mix with other ingredients. Top with cheese reserved for decoration. You may add paprika as decoration, also. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 8 to 10. Can be made 1 day ahead of time and refrigerated. |
