1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
2/3 c. nuts

Cream shortening and sugar add egg, soda, applesauce and salt. Mix cinnamon with flour. Add remaining ingredients to creamed mixture. Drop from teaspoon the size of small walnut. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
