APPLE BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. dry bread cubes
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. raisins
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
Dash cinnamon and nutmeg

Layer half of bread cubes in a buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Combine applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins. Spread over bread cubes.

Layer remaining cubes over applesauce mixture. Combine egg, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over bread mixture.

Lightly sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over top. Bake at 350 degrees until knife inserted comes out clean - 55 to 60 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
