TAFFY APPLE BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices of white bread
butter
5 c. sliced tart apples
1/3 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter bread on both sides; place 2 slices in a 9 x 5 x 3 inch bread pan. Cover with 1/2 of each, apples and molasses. Mix 3/4 cup f the sugar with nutmeg; sprinkle 1/2 mixture over apples. Repeat, using 2 slices bread, remaining apples, molasses and sugar mixture.

Cut the remaining 2 slices bread into cubes; place over apples. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Cover and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake until apples are tender and bread is brown. Yields: 6 to 8 servings.
