DOROTHY'S GLAZED CARROTS | |
Carrots 2 tbsp. of brown sugar per lb. of carrots 1 tbsp. of butter per lb. of carrots Scrub and trim number of carrots you wish to cook. Cut into spears. Cook in water with pinch of sugar, no salt. When almost cooked (tender), pour off excess water and boil off all water. Proceed with either step 1 or 2: STEP 1: Place carrots, butter and brown sugar in container. Microwave until sugar and butter have melted. Stir. STEP 2: Add brown sugar and butter to pan containing carrots. Heat slowly, covered, stirring frequently until butter and sugar are melted. |
