DATE - NUT TORTE 
3 eggs, separated
16 dates, pitted and chopped
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. honey
2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. bran
1 tsp. baking powder

Beat the egg yolks. Add the dates, nuts, honey, flour, bran, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold the egg whites into the date mixture. Pour into a greased 8 inch pie plate and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
