GLAZED BAKED HAM | |
1 (16 lb.) fully cooked bone-in ham 1/2 c. strained orange marmalade 1 c. dark corn syrup 2 tsp. dry mustard Whole cloves Heat oven to 325 degrees. Place ham, fat side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan. Roast in oven 2 hours and 40 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in center registers 125 to 130 degrees (allow about 10 minutes per pound). While ham is roasting, mix orange marmalade, corn syrup and dry mustard. Remove ham from oven and cut off rind. Increase oven temperature to 375 degrees. Score ham with sharp knife making diagonal cuts 1/8 inch deep and about 3/4 inch apart in one direction and then a crosswise direction. Stud ham with cloves and brush with some of the glaze. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, basting frequently with more glaze, until glaze is golden brown. Remove ham to warm serving platter. |
