CRAB APPLE BREAD | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tbsp. sour milk (or milk) 2 c. chopped, unpeeled apples 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional) In bowl beat eggs, next beat in sugar. Stir in shortening, milk and apples. Mix well. Add dry ingredients. Mix through and fold in nuts. Pour into a greased and floured bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or longer. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Freezes well. |
