POUND CAKE 
1 stick of butter
1 c. Crisco
6 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. carnation milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
3 c. sugar

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar (10 minutes). Sift together flour, salt and baking powder (3 times). Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well. Add milk to mixture, beating well. Add flour, baking powder and salt all at one time, beating 4 minutes. Add flavorings. Bake at 275 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
