GRANDMA'S CASSEROLE 
1 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
1 green pepper
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 qt. tomato juice

Saute onion and pepper in butter for 3 minutes. Add ground beef; brown meat breaking it up as it cooks. Add salt, pepper and sugar. Add tomato juice and heat mixture to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

Put into a 9"x13" pan, layer meat, tomato mixture and uncooked noodles. Make sure noodles are well covered with sauce. Top with Mozzarella or Swiss cheese. Cover pan with foil and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Stir several times while baking. Serves 8 to 10 people.
