CARAMEL ICING 
3 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter

Place 1/2 cup sugar in sauce pan and brown. Add water and make a syrup. Add the rest of the sugar, milk, butter and soda. Cook until it forms a soft ball in water. Let cool and beat until creamy.
