GRAPE NUT BREAD - QUICK BREAD | |
1 cup Grape-Nuts cereal 2 cups buttermilk, or sour milk 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 egg whites, or 1 egg 1 cup sugar 4 cups whole-wheat flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon canola oil Mix Grape-Nuts and milk, add baking soda, stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly (batter will be very stiff). Place in two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serving Size: 20 |
