MOLASSES BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 c. Grandma's Molasses (Gold Label)
3 lg. bananas (mashed, about 2 c.)
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Optional: 1/2 tsp. each finely grated orange, ground nutmeg

Heat oven to 350 F.

Cream butter, beat in egg, molasses and banana. Mix in remaining ingredients just until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 F. oven 50 to 60 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
