CRUSTY BROWN SUGAR COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or reg. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar in mixing bowl until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.

Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Spread batter in greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.

Combine brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in bowl; mix well. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake in 350 degree oven 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut in squares and serve warm. Makes 16 servings.
