BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
1 lb. light brown sugar
3 sticks butter
1/2 c. white granulated sugar
5 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugars thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating at medium speed. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix well. Place in large tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
