HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hash browns
1 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter (soft)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
1/2 tsp. pepper
1- 8 oz. carton sour cream

Mix all ingredients and put in 9 x 13 casserole dish. Top with: 1/2 c. melted butter mixed with finely crushed cornflakes.

Bake 1 hour at 400°F covered, uncover the last 10 to 15 minutes.
