1 c. water
2 sticks butter
2 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla

Bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat. Cool. Add flour, sugar, vinegar and salt. In a small bowl, beat eggs, milk, soda and vanilla. Add to the first mixture. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting or use this glaze:

1 stick butter
5 tbsp. milk
1 lb. 10X sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Boil milk and butter. Remove from heat. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour over warm cake.
