CROCK POT BEEF BURGUNDY 
4-5 lb. beef cubes (1 inch)
2 onions, sliced
2 (8 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms, drained
2 c. Gallo hearty burgundy
2 cans beef broth
2 or 3 pkgs. Herb-Ox beef broth
1/2 c. minute tapioca, if desired
parsley, chopped

In a 5-quart crock pot place onions, beef cubes, and mushrooms. Cover with burgundy and beef broth. Stir in one packet of Herb-Ox beef broth for flavoring. If you like a thick gravy, stir in minute tapioca and broth will thicken as it cooks.

Cook according to crock pot directions, usually 8-12 hours. During last hour, adjust seasoning with more Herb-Ox beef broth packets. Top with parsley. Serve with rice, salad, and French bread. An easy, but special meal!

Hi Robin,

You only need to cook until the beef is tender. But if you use a tough meat like brisket or chuck, the longer you slow cook, the more tender the beef will be.
