OVEN BARBECUE CHICKEN 
1 3-4 lb chicken, cut up
3/4 cup BBQ sauce
salt, pepper, and garlic powder
1/4 c. water

Cut chicken into 8 pieces (or purchase 1 cup up chicken). Discard chicken back (or save for stock). Season by sprinkling lightly with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Arrange chicken in pan, leaving space to allow browning. Combine BBQ sauce and water and pour over chicken.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes. Turn and let cook for another 20 minutes or until chicken breast reads 160 and thigh reaches a temperature of 180°F. Remove from oven. Cover with foil for 10 minutes before serving.

Potatoes and sliced onions can be cooked in with the chicken, if desired.
