CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. hot water
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco until fluffy (with mixer). Add sugars; cream well. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla and hot water. Add remaining ingredients. Spoon on greased (Pam) cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
