GRANDCHILDREN'S FAVORITE CHEESE
AND MACARONI
 
Sm. elbow macaroni
Mild cheddar cheese
1 egg
Sweet milk
Salt and pepper

Put two handsful of macaroni in saucepan. Cover with water. Add a sprinkle of salt. Cook until tender. If any water is left in pan, pour off and put macaroni in casserole dish. Cut up good mild cheddar cheese over macaroni until it looks right; maybe 1/4 pound. Add egg and enough sweet milk to barely cover. Add sprinkle of salt and pepper. Stir together. Place in moderate oven and cook until done. I stir mine once during cooking to make sure it cooks in the center.
