EGG BREAD | |
12 eggs 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 lemon rind 2 sticks butter 5 oz. whiskey 1/2 pkg. yeast in 1/4 c. cold water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 5 lbs. flour 4 tsp. milk Beat eggs, sugar, butter, lemon rind and whiskey. Dissolve yeast in cold water; add vanilla and flour and salt and milk to mixture. Knead and cover. Let it rise twice (cook the next day). On floured board, cut in half and make 2 braided loaves of bread. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. |
