1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
Pepper, to taste
1 tbsp. sugar
16 oz. tomato sauce
3 oz. softened cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. chopped onion or to taste
Shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz. egg noodles

Brown beef in skillet; drain. Add garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce. Simmer 15 minutes. In a bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, and onion. Cook noodles according to package directions. In large buttered casserole place 3/4 of the noodles; top with meat mixture. Spoon cream cheese mixture on top. Cover with remaining noodles topped with shredded cheese. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees for 35-45 minutes. Serves 8. Reheats well.
