HUSBAND'S DELIGHT BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
Garlic to taste, minced
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 tsp. sugar
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
4 green onions, chopped
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, cooked and drained
1/2 c. cheddar cheese

Brown beef and drain. Add garlic, salt and pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Mix green onions, sour cream and cream cheese together. In 2 quart casserole dish, layer ingredients in order. Noodles, sour cream mixture and beef. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Just made this, and it is delicious. Didn't have any cheddar in the house so I substituted mozarella. Love both so no problem there. Will make some and freeze it so I will have it on hand should I get unexpected guests. I'd give this 5 stars for sure.

I'd added a can of diced tomatoes (stewed would probably be great) and I'd suggest a few more green onions for more a crunch.

My family loved this recipe! I substituted stewed tomatoes for one of the tomato sauce cans. I also added sauteed mushrooms to the meat mixture. Reminds me a little of lasagna. Will definitely make again soon!

I always have excess egg noodles laying around and this recipe worked perfect. I didn't want to make goulash or lasagna and this wasn't either, it was simply amazing. I did diced tomatoes (14 oz. can) and sauteed mushrooms in the meat and fresh grated white cheddar for the topping.
