SQUASH CASSEROLE WITH ALMONDS 
1 lb. squash, sliced or chopped into sm. pieces
1 tbsp. Mazzola oil
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 lb. Gruyere cheese, grated
1 c. almonds, toasted & ground
4 to 5 pinches cloves
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1/3 c. milk, mix with eggs

TOPPING:

Bread crumbs
Gruyere

Cook squash and drain. Saute onion in oil. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased casserole. Sprinkle bread crumbs and more Gruyere on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
