SWEDISH GINGER COOKIES 
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
6 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. cream
3 c. sifted flour

Boil corn syrup 1 minute. Cool slightly. Add sugar, butter cream and spices. Dissolve soda in 2 tablespoons cream and add to syrup mixture. Blend in flour; refrigerate. Roll very thin (1/8 inch) on floured canvas and cut into desired shapes.

Place on greased cookie sheets. Decorate before baking or frost and decorate when cookies are cool. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, depending upon side and thickness of cookie.
