CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter together. Gradually add eggs one at a time.

Stir in flavoring. Sift dry ingredients together. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Chill at least 3-4 hours. Roll out on a well floured board, 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut in desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. Makes 8 dozen.
