COUNTRY COOKIN' OKRA 
2 c. okra, sliced (frozen or fresh)
2 c. diced potatoes (leftovers okay)
1 med. onion
3 ripe tomatoes (or canned), chopped
1/4 c. shortening

Melt shortening in skillet. Fry potatoes about 5 minutes (if fresh ones are used). Do not brown. Add okra, onion and tomatoes. Mix gently. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook slowly, about 30 minutes. Stir often. Add more water if not liquid enough. Cook until all ingredients are done.
