FRIED PASTA PATTIES 
1 egg
2 green onions, very finely chopped
2 c. cooked spaghetti or thin egg noodles
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 c. salad oil

About 25 minutes before serving:

In medium bowl, with fork, beat egg slightly. Add onions, spaghetti, salt and pepper; mix well. In 12-inch skillet over medium high heat, heat salad oil until hot. Spoon spaghetti mixture by 1/3 cup into skillet, shaping mixture lightly into about 3 1/2 inch round patties.

Cook about 3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and crisp. With slotted turner, remove patties to paper towels to drain. Makes 8 patties.
