SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS ITALIANO | |
1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage (either hot, sweet or combination) 2 tbsp. water 2 lg. green peppers, cut in strips 1 med. onion, cut in rings 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 can Zesty tomato soup 1 c. water 1 tsp. vinegar Cut sausage in chunks and cook in 2 tablespoons water for 5 minutes (in a covered pan). Uncover and brown; add green pepper, onion and garlic. Cook until peppers are tender-crisp. Drain off grease. Stir in soup, 1 cup water and vinegar. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Serve over rice. |
