SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS 
1 lb. sweet or hot Italian sausage
1/2 c. water
1 med. onion
2 bell peppers
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. salt

Cut sausage into bite size pieces. Put into large skillet with water and bring to a boil. Cover, lower heat and simmer 4 to 5 minutes, stirring once until sausage is not pink. Remove from heat; strain.

Peel onion. Halve, core and seed peppers. Cut onion and peppers into bite size chunks. Add to skillet with garlic, tomatoes, seasoning and salt, bring to a boil. Cover, lower heat and simmer 8 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender. Serve with hot bread.
