SWISS ONIONS 
3 lg. Bermuda onions, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1 can undiluted cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 thick slices French bread, garlic buttered on both sides

Saute onion rings in butter until crisp tender. Arrange in a flat 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top. Blend soup, milk, soy sauce and pepper; pour over onions and cheese. Arrange bread slices on top. Bake 30-40 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serves 6-8. Excellent with something from the grill.
